What to check before you hire audit help

  1. Ask for the firm's ACRA public accounting entity registration and the name of the audit partner.
  2. Check first whether your company is exempt. See audit exemption.
  3. Ask for a fixed fee quote with the scope.

Does my company need an audit?

Many small private companies are exempt from the statutory audit, but not all of them. Exemption depends on the company's size and structure in the financial year. Check the rules on our audit exemption page before you pay for an audit you may not need.

Questions people ask

How many audit firms are listed here?

We list 74 Singapore firms that mention this service on their Google business profile when we checked. The list is not complete and it is not a ranking of quality.

How is the order of the list set?

By Google score weighted for the number of reviews, so a 5.0 from 4 reviews does not beat a 4.7 from 400. It says nothing about legal compliance or price.

Where are most of these firms based?

CBD and Raffles Place has the most, with 28 of the 74 firms. Other areas are shown in the Area column.

Does this list prove a firm is registered with ACRA?

No. We copy the services and the Google details a firm shows. Where a profile says it is an ACRA filing agent we repeat that as the firm's own claim. Look up the name on the ACRA register before you pay.

Can a firm pay to be listed or moved up?

No. The order comes from the Google score formula above. Some providers pay us if a request you send through our form turns into a client, and we say so on the how we earn page.
